CMS Resources Sdn Bhd is a 51:49 joint venture company between Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad and Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). CMS Resources in turn is the holding company for CMS Premix Sdn Bhd, CMS Premix (Miri) Sdn Bhd, CMS Quarries Sdn Bhd and CMS Penkuari Sdn Bhd.
The Company is the largest producer of crushed stone aggregates in Sarawak for microtonalite, limestone and granite. It supplies approximately 30% of all stone aggregates sold within the State.
SEDC Quarries Sdn Bhd
Combined, CMS Group’s quarry operations are the largest producers of crushed stone aggregates (granite, microtonalite and limestone) in Sarawak. Jointly, they account for about 35% of stone aggregates sold in Sarawak, which are suitable for road construction and buildings.

The microtonolite stone aggregates from Stabar Quarry is strategically located near Kuching. The limestone quarry at Bukit Akud supplies demand from Samarahan Division and the growing district of Siburan.
SEDC Quarries also operates a jetty at Pending, Kuching which caters for the loading of stones onto the barges, facilitating distribution and sale to locations across Sarawak.

SEDC Premix (Miri) Sdn Bhd (formerly known as CMS Premix (Miri) Sdn Bhd)
Premix operation have two operating companies SEDC Premix Sdn Bhd and SEDC Premix (Miri) Sdn Bhd.
SEDC Premix and SEDC Premix (Miri) are Sarawak’s leading premix producers supplying high quality asphalt for construction of highways, flyovers and airport runways. They own and operate a bitumen emulsion and cut back bitumen plant in Kuching.
They are Sarawak’s leading producer of asphaltic concrete (premix) and bituminous emulsion (emulsion).
The premix production facilities are located in Kuching (250 TPH), Sibu (250 TPH), Sarikei (100 TPH), Bintulu (100 TPH) and Miri (100 TPH). The mobile premix plants have a combined capacity of 140 TPH. They have emulsion production plants located in Kuching (10 TPH).
These production plants are supported by modern laboratories and experienced technicians capable of conducting a full range of mix designs and tests. All mix designs conform to JKR (Public Works Department) and Malaysian Standards.
SEDC Premix and SEDC Premix (Miri) have been the principal supplier of premix to JKR Sarawak since 1990. Apart from supplying premix for road construction and maintenance, these companies have also supplied premix for surfacing of runways of Kuching International Airport, Bintulu Airport, Miri Airport, Mulu Airport, Sibu Airport and Tanjong Manis Airport.

SEDC Premix (Betong) Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Betong Premix Sdn Bhd)
SEDC Premix (Betong) Sdn Bhd is a 80% owned subsidiary company of SEDC Resources Sdn Bhd, a 51% owned subsidiary of Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad. The remaining 49% equity of SEDC Resources is owned by Sarawak Economic Development Corporation.
The Company is principally involved in the business of supply of premix and road maintenance contractor works.
CMS Wires Sdn Bhd
CMS Wires Sdn Bhd established in 1985 produces wire mesh for the construction industry. The Company produces high quality steel bars and wire mesh manufactured to Malaysian Standard MS144:1987, MS145:1987 and MS146:1988, equivalent to British Standard BSS4482:1985 BS4449:1978 and BS4483:1985.
CMS Infra Trading Sdn Bhd
The Company trades in, either as an agent or as a distributor, a range of products in the following sectors – water management, construction, roads, building protection, composting and others.
CMS Infra Trading Sdn Bhd has been in business since 1990, catering to customers mainly across Sarawak. Over the years, the Company prides itself in having continuously increased the range of quality products and services, and having developed strong relationships with clients.
