The Spring Nominates Dato’ Richard Curtis for ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

1 September 2014 – With so much sportsmanship, Dato’ Richard Curtis, Group Managing Director gladly accepted the Spring’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. This disease demonstrates and promotes the awareness of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”, a progressive disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord which would eventually lead to death.

On Monday, at 10.30 am, Dato’ Richard was accompanied by several of CMS staff doused themselves with a bucket filled with ice and freezing waters. In pledging to do good for the community, CMS donated RM5,000 to the HOPE Place Kuching.
