CMS Clinker recycles and donates
The first CMSK recycle campaign for the year 2013 was held on 31st January 2013, attracting 173 no of staff from various departments. This two-pronged campaign was held to inculcate the 3R idea which is to reduce, reuse and recycle home-based recyclable materials to the staff and also to give back to the society by donating the sales proceeds to whoever in needs.
The 4-hour campaign was a success with 173 staff contributing a total of 4343.20 kg of recyclable materials amounting to RM 1,368.20. The recyclable materials was purchased by Dinkargo Recycle Sdn. Bhd located at Mile 14 Jalan Kuching-Serian.
On 17th April 2013, RM 500 of the sales proceeds was donated to Encik Thomson Anak Ekol, a CMSK staff attached to Production Department. The donation was handed over by the General Manager of CMSK, Mr. Lim Kim Beng and Senior HR Executive, Puan Ilanah Elisabeth as a token or pocket money for the family of Encik Thomson Anak Ekol. They will depart to Kuala Lumpur soon to accompany their eldest son, who will be undergoing a nose surgery. The rest of the sales proceeds will be kept for future contribution.
