CMS Fun Run

Sarawak – November 14, 2012 – Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad’s (CMS) employees not only keep the cogs of the state’s largest corporation turning, give back to the community through their volunteer CSR initiatives but also have an inherent commitment to a healthier lifestyle. Last weekend saw the flag-off of the CMS 3rd Annual Health Run which aims to promote healthier living in a fun group activity.

Bright and early the runners converged on the Tunku Putra School which would mark the start and finish line of the 7km challenge. At the time of flag-off, 7am, there were over 420 participants from the CMS Group and associate companies, KKB Engineering Bhd and K&N Kenanga Holdings Bhd.

Dato Isaac Lugun, Head of Samalaju Development Division, giving a motivating send off to the runners as they embark on their 7km run for a healthier life.

There were 6 categories – Men, Ladies, Men Veteran, Ladies Veteran, Boys and Girls. Trophies and medals were given to the top 10 winners from each category and the overall top three also received cash prizes.

The individual category winners were :

Girls – Nurul Irnahayani bt Lafandah
Women’s Veteran – Teo Siew Yong
Men’s Veteran – Kaliani Rajamanickom
Women – Cynthia Tella
Men – John Lonhienne
