Searching For New Talent Beyond Sarawak Shores

Monday, 18 May 2009, Kuala Lumpur – The search for new talent to join the CMS family took Group Human Resources beyond Sarawak shores this past weekend to participate in a career fair held in Kuala Lumpur.

For three days from 15 – 17 May 2009, the CMS booth at Karnival Kerjaya & Keusahawanan Graduan 2009 (National Graduate Career & Enterprenuership Carnival), held at PWTC in Kuala Lumpur, was flooded with interest from fresh graduates and undergraduates alike keen to submit their resumes for a suitable placement as a Management Trainee or for a host of job vacancies in CMS’ manufacturing operations.

With 600 organisations and small businesses participating, the event was billed as the largest career exhibition ever to be held in Malaysia. There was certainly much on offer for the thousands of students, graduates and job seekers who visited the exhibition throughout the weekend.

As one of a handful of companies from outside of KL to participate in the event, CMS’ booth saw a steady stream of job seekers eager to find out more about our Group’s diverse operations and the career opportunities available.

Current vacancies on offer within CMS Group include jobs in production, manufacturing and engineering, specifically in plant, instrument and control systems, raw mill, planning and in mining. There are also openings in safety & health, logistics, store management, laboratory work, and in finance-related roles.

In addition, CMS advertised opportunities for the recruitment of management trainees. This received much favourable response from those visiting the booth.
