Cahya Mata Sarawak recently recorded a positive second quarter ended 30 June 2013, with the Cement, Construction Materials & Trading, Construction & Road Maintenance and the Samalaju Development divisions seeing robust year-on-year increase in pre-tax profit by 16 per cent, 129 per cent, 13 per cent and 61 per cent, respectively. The outlook for Cahya Mata Sarawak continues to look positive throughout the year. Cahya Mata Sarawak’s strong financial position enables the company to invest in its core business divisions and in investment opportunities in energy intensive industries so as to cement their position as the best proxy in stock market investment for Sarawak’s accelerating economic transformation.
